Hawkchurch Film Nights

On Monday 19th October, in association with Moviola.org, we proudly present ‘The Christophers’, 100 mins, Cert.15 (very strong language).  In this thoughtful drama from Steven Soderbergh (Out of Sight, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s 11), a curmudgeonly artist (Sir Ian McKellen) keeps a series of unfinished paintings in his crumbling London townhouse.  Believing the stashed artworks to be worth millions, his children hire a restorer (I May Destroy You’s Michaela Coel) to secretly finish them for sale without their father knowing.  Also starring James Corden and Jessica ‘Baby Reindeer’ Gunning.  The Guardian’s 5-star review describes McKellen and Coel as the double act of the year.  Should be good.

Doors open 6.30pm, film starts 7.00pm at Hawkchurch Village Hall, EX13 5XD.
