Hawkchurch History Society
The Society was formed in 1997 to encourage and promote a greater interest in, and understanding of, the local environment and its long and varied history.
Talks and outings
Every year we organise 3 talks, in March, May and November, and an annual outing for members and friends in June. Our speakers are varied, chosen for their local interest as much as their subject matter.
Talks are on Monday evenings and begin at 7.00pm (doors open from 6.30pm) at the Village Hall, Hawkchurch, EX13 5XD. Non-members are welcome (£5 at the door). Refreshments are available.
Membership
New members are always welcome. The annual subscription is £7.50 and renewal payments are due at the AGM (held at the November meeting) and are payable direct to the Treasurer. To apply to join or come to one of the talks or annual outings and apply to join there.
